Time span/Timeline
Programs are implemented once or twice a month from April 2006 to March 2007
Result/Self evaluation (success or failure) including its reasons
Achievement:
*70 out of 350 students in Hamanaka-cho became the member and join our activities. The number of member has been increasing from both inside and outside of Hamanaka-cho.
*We have had a good response from children and their parents. Some of the students said that they were very looking forward to the programs and were fine to spend their allowance to join the programs. It was also nice that we could implement the programs with regional people having special skills.
Other learning from the project
Challenge:
Because the number of participants is limited due to lack of staffs and field conditions, all members cannot join the programs at this point. It is also our challenge to make more satisfactory program for everyone, and to make flexible programs for all grads of elementary school students. The programs succeeded in terms of making a chance for children to touch nature. We would like to make more improved programs in the future.
