- Objective:
The Lanka Council on Water Falls (LCWF) is a leading Non Government Organization (NGO), which has been working on Sri Lankan Waterfalls since November 2000. LCWF is mainly a membership-based organization of different professionals dedicated to environment and sustainable development. More than 1000 members (fulltime, associate, incentive, corporate and lifetime members national and international) are working on that with close co-ordination and support from the Sri Lanka Government and various international agencies.
Vision:
To be the leading NGO working on Waterfalls in Sri Lanka dedicated to promote Waterfalls as a means of quality of life of the Sri Lankan people
Mission:
LCWF is a non-profit organization which has worked nationally and internationally since its inception in 2000 to improve public awareness and understanding of water issues with a view to promote the conservation and wise use of nature and natural resources. LCWF designs and manages innovative high quality programs that build capacity in the field of environment education. LCWF'S programs and activities seek to create awareness and enable individuals and communities to make resource use decisions that favor environmentally sustainable development
