Title Place Operational features Environment Education Program Nepal is an underdeveloped country, where about 70 per cent people live in remote villages and 32 per cent of the total population is illiterate.
The loss due to all kind of the disasters is high in backwards people who are living below poverty line. They play major role in destruction of natural environment, which in other hand increases of risk level of efforts of all kinds of hazards. Hence EEP is targeted to educate the grass root level people regarding all aspects of environment and its importance to human being. For this, ECO-Nepal is publishing monthly magazine 'PARYAWARAN' in simple Nepali language, so that complex issues of environment can be understood by simply literate people. The Paryawaran is distributed among all VDC's, Municipalities, DDC's, District Education office, public and private Schools, several INGO's and NGO's, diplomatic missions and several business house with own resources of this organization. ECO-Nepal has aim to reach to all 35,000 public (government) schools and private schools through the country.
In spite, we also organize various programs such as demonstration, sample core project luncheon, workshops, discussion etc in related villages and schools in Nepal to aware the people and school children about environment and sustainable development.Disaster Preparedness Program In DPP program we produce a educative poster of possible disaster of that time and distributed along with our publication Paryawaran to all our readers free of costs. We also prepare reports on various disasters and hazards that have occurred in the country. We believe the preparedness to face the disaster has to be take place will certainly reduce the volume of loss human and material loss. Thus ECO-Nepal emphasize the presenting measure of disaster, also aimed at to educate the people what should be done during and post disaster period, so that mitigation can be done as better as possible and rehabilitation of the disaster affected people can be done as soon as possible. We believe to get the help during and post disaster period for complete rehabilitation is the right of disaster affected people. Ecology Study Program ECO-Nepal being dedicated to preserve natural environment and improve the deteriorated environment it carries out various ecological studies of wetlands, watershed, resgin forest, mountains, lakes etc and prepares reports. It also make scientific research on all kind of pollution in urban and village areas and the services passes through. It is aimed that the studies will help the policy makers to make suitable policies are general people to know the deteriorating their own environment. Study of stalwal ecology will help all concerned to know how it is maintaining its self and how much it is important to maintain economically. Hence it will establish a strong concentration to preserve it and improve its condition for the maximum benefit with the strong participation of local stakeholders. Ecotourism Formulation Program Tourism is main source of foreign currency in Nepal and can be contributed as the back bone of national economy. Hence national development is only possible if tourism industry strengthen. But we are locking basis infrastructure for the development of tourism business. It is true that we have high potentiality of tourism as there are eye-catching rey mountains including the highest peak in the world, The Mount Everest, flora and fauna, wildlife, historical art-cultured temples, idols, mosques etc etc. The natural beauty can not be expressed in worlds. The potentiality of tourism is also counted with the friendly straight people of different cultures and traditions.
