Introduction of the Organization
Objective:

The Kathmandu Environmental Education Project (KEEP) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization. Its aims are twofold: to provide impartial and independent information to travelers, and to ensure the future ecological and cultural prosperity of Nepal through positive impact tourism and outreach project work.
The Kathmandu Environmental Education Project aims to help minimize the negative influences of tourism by advocating and promoting minimum impact trekking, and through presentations and lectures to travelers and trekking industry professionals. These presentations sensitize visitors and Nepalese to issues of conservation and culture.

Title Place Operational features
Teacher Training Workshop The aim of the workshop was to identify the training needs amongst teachers and plan for the Teacher Training Program to be held in January 2008. 
English Language Course Dolpo The aim of the course teach and train tourism professionals in basic English with emphasis on spoken English.
Leadership Development Training Held The basic objective of the training was to develop leadership qualities amongst tourism professionals through practical and experiential learning methodologies. The course covered three major modules including Leadership, Crisis Management and Leave No Trace (environment).
Intensive Wilderness First Aid Courses The aim of the course was to provide basic first aid treatment, and precautionary measures to ensure safety of their clients and their staffs.
English Language Course Concludes The English Language course is being conducted twice annually by KEEP with the aim to improve the English speaking abilities of tourism professionals to ensure better communication between such professionals and their clients.
