Introduction of the Organization
Objective:

Institute for Population, Environment and Development (IPED) is basically a non-government research and training organization. It aims to support to government and other non-government institutions in the area of population, environment and development.

It is established to fill in the gap of the lack of non-government organizations working in the related field of population, environment and development. The partnership of government and multilateral agencies with the non-governmental and private organizations is the desired dimension of implementation of development projects in these decades.

The ultimate goal of all governments, bilateral or multilateral institutions and national and international NGOs is to meet the need of men and women by enhancing their choices through imparting knowledge. The fragile and vulnerable environment and population in marginal and subsistence economy both are inextricable that need improved programs of awareness for saving milieu and human lives. An ensured better life for future generation as conceived by Rio (1992), Cairo (1994) and Beijing (1995) Conferences on environment, population and women are possible if government and non-government sectors become partner of each other in policy making, program implementation, and monitoring and evaluation.

The establishment of IPED is to escalate the activities of non-government agencies in the field of population, environment and overall development-related activities including research and training as well as policy making and programs implementation.

OBJECTIVES:
The general objective of the IPED is to conduct activities on population, environment and development with a long-term goal to enhance the quality of life of the humankind. However, following specific objectives are enumerated for a visible destination.
