The Japan-China Center for Practice and Dissemination of Environmental Education Ulanatara, Inner Mongolia Promotes environmental education in the local area, particularly anti-desertificaton education. Instruction for the local residents includes issues such as agricultural techniques, husbandry techniques, vegetable production, and farming fish.
Enterprise for replanting in Ulantara It has planted firs and other trees used as windbreaks. It has also experimented with using yellow willows to contain dunes.
