Introduction of the Organization
Objective:

The organization Lotus Progressive Centre was established in the year 1999 with the commitment to works for the poor and vulnerable section of the society. However the organization was registered in the year 2002 under the societies Registration act 1860. The broad vision of the organization is to TO ENABLE THE RURAL AND VULNERABLE SECTION OF THE SOCIETY TO FIGHT AGAINST POVERTY, SOCIAL INJUSTICE, DISASTER AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEGRADATION". The target community of the organization is women & Children, poor & marginal farmers, old aged people and other socially disadvantaged groups. To achieve the vision objectives, the organization set the following mission statements by the year 2008.-
"BUILDING THE CAPACITY OF THE RURAL AND VULNERABLE SECTION OF THE SOCIETY TO ACHIEVE THE VISION OBJECTIVES THROUGH DEVELOPING 200 NOS OF PEOPLE'S INSTITUTIONS WITH EFFECTIVE PARTICIPATION OF ALL THE STAKEHOLDERS ASSOCIATED WITH THE DEVELOPMENTAL TREND OF THE TARGET COMMUNITY"

The organization Louts Progressive Centre with the limited resource and endless efforts has so far been able to facilitate 150 nos of Women SHG, 20 nos of village level disaster protection committee, 10 nos of farmers training on soil fertility management, 50 nos of awareness programme to unorganized labour force, 10 nos of awareness generation programme to poor women, training on 1st aid to 20 women health volunteer, relief and rehabilitation programme to the flood victims of 50 villages during the year 2004 and one 4 nos of training on solid waste management , one nos of popular science lecture cum demonstration on non conventional energy and one training of one week duration on semi-intensive fishculture

Objective:
a) To empower the rural people and educated unemployed to youth with the divergent avenues of progress and prosperity catering the needs of civil society and lying special emphasis on the vulnerable section in general and the women in particular of community.

b) To endeavor the economic upliftment of the rural people through sustainable development of agriculture, pisciculture, animal husbandry, sericulture, horticulture, plantation, handicrafts and allied sector ushering in a new era.

c) To generate awareness for health, environment, hygiene, sanitation, preservation of indigenous art, craft, heritage, natural resources including wild life.

d) To motivate the people for the development of scientific temperament and acquaint them with the latest emerging scientific and technological innovations.
